I often spend time looking for inspiration on sites like Pinterest or Google Images if I have an idea in mind for a design and want to gauge what others are doing that is similar. My jaw hit the floor when I saw an ebay ad for a pair of leggings that sold for $400 +!! Really? That was my first thought. Seriously? For reals Nacho? $400+ dollars?
After a moment to collect my jaw off the floor, I began searching around a bit and yup, nothing special, just a pair of leggings. There were no famous celebrity bottoms that wore them. They were not made with exotic materials like unobtainium or anything else of the superhero type, they were just leggings with a following and a limited run.
We at Umsted Design, like to believe that we are practical, sensible, creative people, so we said; “Let us create our own line of stripes that are done right, look as good if not better than and are made of unobtainium!” The cheers erupted, the place went wild, high fives all around……come on people, none of that happened and well, it turns out that we could not find a supplier of unobtainium but we did find our supplier of high quality performance materials. We painstakingly created our stripes and color combinations, designed logos, banners and blog pages, added items to facebook and pinterest and are pleased to introduce to you our Lunatic Stripes!! The cheers erupted, the place went wild, high fives all around…….

Every pair of leggings is printed and sewn by hand in Montreal, Canada. The fabric we use was also developed exclusively for us, and is made by a local Montreal mill.

Compression fit due to our high spandex fabric. Our leggings hug in all the right places and suit all kinds of body types.

Vivid print that will never fade after washing. Our ultra-stretch fabric holds shape even after multiple wearings.
- Thick elastic High waist waistband finishing and cover stitched hems. Elastic generally will rise just under your belly button for most sizes.

All our stretch fabrics feature an EcoPoly fiber. This fiber is considered eco-friendly since it requires significantly less energy and water use during manufacturing.
Care instructions
Easy to care for and keep looking new! Machine or hand wash your leggings and capris in cold water. Tumble dry on regular or hang to dry. Please do not bleach. The fabric is naturally quick-dry so you won’t have to wait long before wearing again.
